Understanding the patterns you’ve learned

Over time, we learn beliefs and ways of responding that can become so familiar we stop noticing them. We may find ourselves seeking approval, avoiding difficult conversations or putting someone else’s needs ahead of our own. Those responses can continue even when they leave us feeling stuck.

Co-dependency is one way this can show up, with our feelings and choices becoming closely tied to another person’s needs, reactions or approval. Looking at these patterns gives us a starting point for understanding what is happening.

Your programming is learned. It is not the whole of who you are.

Working at the programming level

Pathfinder works at the programming level to instil permanent change.

The approach uses PEAR: Programming, Emotional State, Actions and Reality. It explains how learned programming shapes our thoughts and feelings, how those feelings influence what we do, and how our actions affect the life we experience.

Understanding that relationship helps us look at where a familiar pattern begins and where change is possible.

What would you like to change?

The starting point is what is happening in your life. You might want to explore:

  • Feeling lost or unsure what matters to you.
  • Putting other people’s needs ahead of your own.
  • Repeating patterns in your relationships.
  • Knowing you want to make a change and finding yourself holding back.
  • Feeling uncertain about your work or the direction of your life.

You don’t need a perfect explanation before we speak. We can begin with what you have noticed.

Noora

On meeting John I felt an instant rapport and ability to talk freely about the issues I was facing. John was compassionate, understanding and non-judgemental, making the entire discovery process easier to navigate. Since working through my programme with him, I’ve experienced very significant changes in my mental and physical well-being. His approach and support has been transformative for me and opened my eyes to endless possibilities of a peaceful and more content life. I can’t thank him or recommend him enough.

If you recognise something of yourself here, a discovery call is an opportunity to talk about what is happening, ask questions about Pathfinder and consider whether working together would be suitable.
